On Sunday 16. April and Monday 17. April 2023 Zürich’s traditional spring festival “Sechseläuten” takes place. The festival begins on Sunday 2.30 p.m. with a parade featuring more than 2,000 children. On Monday 3 p.m. the big parade of the Guilds will follow. The highlight is the Burning of the “Böög”, an effigy of winter, on the Sechseläuten field near the Zürich Opera at 6 p.m.
Please note that due to these festivities the city will be closed for traffic for the following periods: Sunday 1 p.m to 6.00 p.m. / Monday 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. You can reach the hotel by foot, from the Central station, with a 10 minutes walk or by Taxi/Uber until Zähringerplatz and a short walk to the hotel.
