Rethymno is one of the most famous and most beautiful towns of Crete and capital of one of the four municipalities of the island. Chania is in the west and Heraklion in the east. Rethymnon borders the Kritikon Sea in the North and Lybikon Sea in the South. Zeus, the god of hospitality, was born here.
