Porto AS 1829 Hotel
Located between Avenida dos Aliados and Ribeira, the Porto A.S. 1829 Hotel is the perfect starting point for your visit to Porto.
This charming hotel has brought new life to the historical Papelaria Araújo e Sobrinho, a stationery shop that opened its doors in 1829. Entering the Porto A.S. 1829 Hotel is like taking a trip back in time to the 19th century and to Europe’s oldest stationery shop.
Standard, city view, superior, family or unique; everything in the 41 rooms has been designed to make you feel at home.
What used to be an Art Gallery, where local artists displayed their work, is now a showcase of flavours. The Chef’s culinary delights invite you on a journey across Portuguese cuisine, all prepared with contemporary quality, precision and excellence. The restaurant’s menu changes with the seasons, considering not only the values and traditions of Portuguese cuisine, but also guests’ dietary restrictions (vegetarian and gluten free). At Lunch, the Chef prepares a different “Delicacy Gallery” every week. A selection of traditional dishes in smaller portions, to share or enjoy in the restaurant or out on the terrace.
