Stavros beach has a beautifull sandy circular cove, where "Zorba the Greek" was filmed. It is a great spot for a relaxed stay next to the shallow water, which is great for children too. Akrotiri also has a few monasteries, the impressive Agia Triada and about 4 km to the north of Agia Triada, there is Moni Gouverneto.
